Hens on the Hill
Several years ago, James Nuttal decided to expand his passion for growing sustainable, delicious free-range eggs into more than a hobby. An advocate of regenerative agriculture, his pasture grazed chicken eggs have become a local must-have. After growing success, the business has diversified and now has one of our Lock Blox on-farm egg vending machines, tucked away next to the chickens.
“Our customers love coming and watching the chickens out and about, whilst collecting their own eggs from our vending machine. I think people both enjoy seeing where their food comes from as well as being more accessible to the wider community.” Jimmy said.
The fact the family are busy daily on the farm meant they went for the Lock Blox style of machine. This meant they could check in remotely to the machine and not need to go check every hour or so to see if it needed restocking. With the feed back they’ve already had the family are looking to add a flex unit to the set up to offer some local dairy products too.
