Our big installation over at Bettys Farm Shop has not only caught the eye of their local customers who are loving the shopping experience, but it has also caught the eye of major journalist organisation ‘The Daily Mail’.
The Daily Mail posted a blog on the 16th of June about how Betty’s farm shop sells all their products from our large vending machines that we installed, rather than off the shelfs and over checkouts like traditional shops. The Daily Mail went onto report about how the machine we supplied was over 69 ft long, 400 total lockers stacked floor to head hight, along two walls. They were also impressed that customers can come up and use our industry leading 22-inch touch screen standalone payment terminal (penguin-22) to pick the produces they would like, pay with their contactless payment system, then the lockers pop open for customers to take their product. Using The Daily Mails own words, they have realised that by using a fully automated vending farm shop, Bettys Farm Shop has provided a “futuristic, pristine and perhaps rather clinical shopping experience”.
The concept of vending machine shopping is becoming very popular all over the world, so with the hard work being done at Vending by JSR to bringing this concept of shopping to the UK, and Bettys Farm Shop opening the first vending shop of this size and stature in the UK, it is no surprise that people are starting to take an interest. With more and more people here in the UK seeing and using these fully automated vending stores themselves, it is only a matter of time before other UK farm shops and retail stores make the switch to fully automated vending shops.
