The team here at Vending by JSR are constantly pushing to Innovate the Farm Vending Industry and provide solutions that allow producers to offer their local goods to the local consumers in an accessible and convenient manner—maximising their profits.
Why?
We have received many inquiries from producers asking about a frozen vending solution to sell their frozen goods. However, no technology was available to store and vend frozen produce on the UK market reliably. This demand was made clear when we took a stand at the Farm Innovation Show 2021. We were overwhelmed with visitors who were impressed with the functionality of an Intelligent Fridge solution and requested that they would like this technology if we had an Intelligent frozen solution. We got to work on this right away, and 5 months later, we are proud to announce that the first Intelligent Freezer in the world is operating in our showroom/ shop, selling frozen ice cream and meat to our local customers.
How This Works.
The customer approaches the Intelligent Freezer and taps their contactless payment method or by using the Vending by JSR app. This will pre-authorise their transaction. Once pre-authorised, the door will unlock, allowing the customer to open the door and browse the product range. The customer can remove products, inspect them and even place them back on the shelf. Once the door has been shut, the customer will automatically be charged for the products that are no longer inside the machine. The instructions on the 22” display will guide the customer through this process.
The Intelligent Freezer stores all this sales data on the back-end software, allowing the owner of an Intelligent Freezer to monitor their sales and identify their best selling products. If customers choose to shop via the Vending by JSR app, the owners will have information on who their most loyal customers are, the times they shop, and the ability to offer their loyal customers discounted prices.
The Intelligent Freezer will know what products have been removed from the unit due to RFI-Tags. An RFI-Tag is a small label that will be linked to a product and can be scanned by the Intelligent Freezer. RFI-Tags are pre-programmed and stuck onto the packaging of your frozen products. Once that product has been placed into the freezer unit, the Intelligent Freezer can scan the RFI-Tag and recognise that the product is inside the machine.
