We are excited to announce that Vending by JSR’s new Intelligent Freezer will be coming to Betty’s Farm before March the 1st. The Intelligent Freezer will be selling Frozen products like ice cream tubs, meats etc to customers. As of the 1st of March, anyone who is interested will be able to come along and visit our Intelligent Freezer for yourself. Seeing this technology in action first-hand. How it works
The customer approaches the Intelligent Freezer and scans their payment card or scans the Vending by JSR app on their phone. Once this is scanned the freezer door will unlock, allowing the customer to open the door and take their desired products. Once the Freezer door is closed, the Intelligent Freezer recognises exactly what products have been removed and will charge the customer accordingly. The Intelligent Freezer stores all this information and data, so you can view your Intelligent Freezer sales and monitor what stock has been removed from the Intelligent Freezer.
How will the machine know which stock has been removed from the freezer?
The Intelligent Freezer will know each product that has been removed from the unit due to RFI-tags. An RFI-tag is a small label that can be linked to any product and recognised by the Intelligent Freezer. RFI-tags will be printed and placed onto the packaging of each of your frozen products. Once placed in the freezer unit, the Intelligent freezer can scan the RFI-tag and recognise that the product is stored in the machine. Once a customer completes their shop (by closing the door) the Intelligent Freezer recognises when that RFI-tag is no longer in the freezer and can charge the customer for that product. Therefor if a customer only removes 1 product, then the machine will only charge them for that product, if the customers remove’s multiple products, then the machine will charge them for all the products that they have removed.
Vending by JSR App
We will be releasing our own Vending by JSR app after the Intelligent Freezer is available. Customers can sign up for the Vending by JSR app and use that app directly to open the Freezer door and pay for their frozen products. Customers will only be able to use the app to purchase produce from the Intelligent Freezer and not any locker vending machines. Using the Vending by JSR app will be beneficial to the customer as well as the machine owner. Customers using the Vending by JSR app to pay for their goods will be able to see a receipt of what they just purchased along with a total cost. Along with this the customer will be able to access discounts on certain products if the owner wishes. The Vending by JSR app is beneficial to the owner as it gives him/her access to customer buying habits. It will allow them to see who their best and most loyal customers are, along with their busiest hours. From the app they will also be able to offer discounts and reward vouchers to their best customers if they wish.
