With the ever-rising cost of energy bills and the need to become more energy efficient, we thought we would do some innovative work to our current locker vending machines. We are happy to introduce our LockBlox IQ breeze lockers, a more practical and energy-efficient chilled vending machine.
What’s new?
LockBlox IQ Breeze has adjustable cooling between 0 and 10 degrees that has been well tested at 30-degree room temperature. The use of polyisocyanurate foam provides excellent insulation, along with the use of low E glass and adjustable self-closing doors means very little cold air escapes an IQ Breeze vending machine. Giving you confidence that your produce is being stored and vended at its optimal temperature. Where IQ Breeze owners see an increase in functionality is the ability to control the temperature of each module separately. This is vital when selling different goods that are required to be stored at different temperatures. For example, one module stores and vends soft fruits at a higher temperature than another module that stores and vends meats at a lower temperature. Another major upgrade in the IQ Breeze modules is the highly efficient cassette cooling system. The cassette cooling system uses eco-friendly refrigerant gas (R290) (that does not directly effect the ozone layer) to extract heat and cool the vending lockers. The big benefit of this cooling system is it’s efficient use of power to achive better cooling results. The IQ Breeze uses a max energy consumption of only 202 Watt, a huge decrease from previous vending machine chillers. Resulting in huge savings in energy bills for the operator over the years.
Not only is The IQ Breeze efficient in it’s cooling but also slick in it’s function, design and operation. The IQ breeze has been designed to work as a standalone module or be integrated into a wall. Allowing the owner to create a flush finish and maximise customer floor space. The IQ Breeze uses an advanced RGBW LED lighting system to turn purchased lockers green (to notify the customer what locker they have purchased), and turn locker doors that have not been closed to red (to encourage the customer to close the locker door and help insulation). Locker doors have been changed to smooth edgeless glass doors to reduce injury risk and the cassette cooling system is easily replaceable to optimise services and minimise downtime.
