LockBlox Weighted Shelves
Locker vending machines just got their latest innovation! Lockblox vending technology was already the industry-leading locker vending machine, especially in the UK market, with its customer-friendly touch screen user interface, remote monitoring, click-and-collect orders, plus many more features. With the introduction of weighted shelves, the Lockblox just got better.
The Lockblox weighted scale system allows you to sell multiple products from the one compartment. By using weighted shelves, the Lockbox vending machine can measure how much stock is inside your locker and how much of each product your customer has removed. The customer can remove as many products as they like from a single locker and even put products back in the locker after inspection. Once the locker door has been closed, the customer will be charged for the products removed.
Loaded Shelf How to:
- The user scans their contactless payment method
- They select their desired items via the touchscreen
- The boxes open, and the desired amount of each item can be removed
- Each item removed is visibly updated in the basket immediately
- When the doors are closed, the transaction is completed, and the user is automatically charged.
How Does this Benefit You?
By using loaded shelfs and adding multiple products in a single locker, you are increasing your sales capacity in the same space you already use. Previously if you wanted a Lockblox vending machine to vend 64 products, at 1 product in each locker, you would need a vending machine big enough to house 64 lockers. If you use a Lockblox vending machine with loaded shelf technology, storing 4 products in each locker, you would only need a 16-locker vending machine to vend 64 products. Not only will this reduce the space you need to sell products but also the cost of a vending machine by remove most of the metal work.
For those of our customers with Lockblox vending machines, it is not possible to modify your current lockers into loaded shelf lockers. However, you can add loaded shelf lockers onto your current vending machine.
